About Us

The Florida Philharmonic was created by musicians, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who believed that Charlotte County and Southwest Florida deserved a professional orchestra.

Since it's beginning, The Florida Philharmonic has continued to grow through ambitious programming, strong community support, and the dedication of its musicians, patrons, sponsors, and volunteers. Today, the orchestra presents a full concert season in venues throughout Punta Gorda while working to expand its audience, strengthen its eduational and community outreach, and establish a lasting home for professional orchestral music in the region.
